In her honor, we offer dog-friendly amenities and outdoor seating. Maggie B’s was established in May 2007 by Elspeth and Andy Brown in picturesque Weaverville, NC. Elspeth's journey to becoming a co-founder of Maggie B’s began with her graduation from Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, SC, where she achieved the first level of Master Sommelier certification.
Captivated by the charm and warmth of Weaverville, Elspeth and Andy made the pivotal decision to introduce the town to its first wine and specialty food store, fueled by their shared love for the region and its people. This heartfelt endeavor laid the foundation for Maggie B’s, which continues to thrive as a beloved establishment.
